_Casa - Museo Sorolla

If there is one of those magical places where you seem to enter another world, it is definitely the Casa-Museo Sorolla, where the painter lived with his family, built to also for his work, as you can see by his studio, with the idea of capturing the best natural light, that he loved to capture in his paintings. It has a very good selection of his works, from his iconic scenes of Valencian beaches, several portraits and sketches of the customsand traditions of different regions of Spain and a commission from the Hispanic Society of America (very small, but very interesting). Also unmissable is the collection of sculptures, ceramics, old photographs, ancient and modern furniture along with numerous tapestries. To reach the entrance, you have to go in through a garden which is quite amazing, inspired by the courtyards of the Alhambra and designed by the artist himself, with lots of greenery, fountains, statues, and even a gazebo where there are workshops to bring painting closer to youngsters. The entrance to the garden is free. Sundays there is also free access to the museum.
