Founded in 1855 by a native of La Rioja, Don Damaso de la Maza, who was pastry chef at the Royal Palace. Highlights include specialties typical of Madrid such as torrijas, bartolillos (cream pies), cones of sugar , pestiños ... and the roscones and turrones, , ... meringues made the traditional way, beaten by hand , ... the tarta imperial , pastas del consejo ... tiramisu cake or San Marcos ... crispy and aromatic ... buns and they also have a pleasant tearoom inside.
