These are more than 4,000 pieces of painting, sculpture, drawing, decorative arts and manuscripts donated by Antonio Pérez Simón, a businessman and collector of Asturian origin who emigrated to Mexico. To whet your appetite, the CentroCentro space will exhibit its most valuable pieces until January 12 under the title "Seventy great masters of the Pérez Simón Collection".

The presentation of this treasure that significantly expands Madrid's museum offer includes many never-before-seen works by great artists such as Rubens, Goya, Van Gogh, Sorolla, Monet, Renoir or Alex Katz. In the exhibition, the section "Old and first modern masters", shows works by Bronzino, Rubens, El Greco, Murillo, Anton Van Dyck, Canaletto, Tiepolo and Goya, among others. The "Nineteenth Century" period brings together pieces by Turner, Van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Pisarro, Gauguin, Sisley, Monet, Renoir, Joaquín Sorolla and Ignacio de Zuloaga. As for contemporary art, the section "From the Avant-garde to current art" includes works by Edvard Munch, Tamara de Lempicka, Fernand Léger, Rothko, René Magritte, Alex Katz, Takashi Murakami and Yoshitomo Nara.
