The bakery has been famous for typical pastries from Madrid since 1894 It began as a meeting place for coffee and became with time a café and tea room and pastry shop. Its position in the square (in one of the western corners at the beginning of Calle Mayor) gives it a strategic position. Currently three windows show the variety of Madrid confectionery.
