Besides, you are lucky, because some of these museums have free opening hours.

• Museum Cerralbo

If you happen to be near the temple of Debod we recommend visiting this fantastic museum, a practically intact 19th century palace. The architecture and its decoration remain almost intact, giving us an idea of how the wealthy classes lived in the 19th century. You will have the opportunity to pass through the ballroom, the office, the kitchen, the bedrooms, with the objects that the Marquis of Cerralbo (a marquis who worked as an archeologist and historian) collected throughout his life. You can enjoy canvases by Zurbarán, El Greco, José de Ribera, Alonso Cano, Luca Giordano and Anton van Dyck, among many others. In conclusion, a great treasure of Madrid and very little known. • Museum Sorolla

Sorolla, perhaps one of the best Spanish painters, houses his House Museum in Chamberí. If you are passionate about his painting, you can't miss this appointment. You will be able to admire his works and walk around the rooms of his house and workshop.  Although we must make special incapacity in his garden, dressed with tiles and jets that will remind you of the fountains of the Generalife in Granada. • Museum of Romanticism

In the heart of Madrid, in the old palace of the Marquis of Matallana, with beautiful gardens, we find the Museum of Romanticism. An ideal place to take a coffee and make a tour through the Spanish nineteenth century. One of the favorite museums of Ortega y Gasset, where we find great jewels of the romantic era: paintings by Goya, objects of Juan Ramon Jimenez, Zorrilla or Larra. Access is free. It is a large museum where you can enjoy paintings, rooms furnished according to romantic taste, etc. Calle de San Mateo, 13. Free Saturdays from 14:00 and Sundays. • Museum Lázaro Galdiano 

We arrive at a museum unknown even to most Madrid residents, which houses a fascinating collection of 15,000 paintings and art objects, spanning 24 centuries of history. The collection of José Lázaro Galdiano, a lover of painting and a scholar of the time, includes paintings by Goya, El Bosco, Murillo and Zurbarán, as well as an important collection of works from the Dutch and English schools, and wonderful Renaissance ornamental silverwork. 122 Serrano Street.
