Pastelería El Horno del Pozo

The pastry shop located in the centre of Madrid (near the Puerta del Sol) and on the street at the backdoor at Lhardy (the bakery is older). It is an establishment from the early nineteenth century, which is not only famous for its antiquity, but also for its flakey pastries such as empanadas,agujas de ternera and bayonesas (pastry stuffed with cabello de angel)and Swiss rolls. At Christmas they made marzipan, Roscon de reyes (two sizes are made throughout the year, one filled one unfilled) and turron.
