Madrid 's Puerta del Sol was named after the "solar door", but the ancient gate of the city which was called "solar door" has long beenremoved 500 years ago. Now the square is semi-circular, surrounded by buildings around the square. These buildings are not only in uniform styleand color, basically light yellow, but also in the height of the five-story building, which makes the square look kind of very comfortable . 10 streets extend outward radially, taking the square as the center and inthe middle of the square stands the statue of King Carlos III in whose area the square was formed.
In the "diameter" of the semicircle is a building with a clock tower on the roof, which is the building of the regional government of Madrid. On the ground floor, there is a very unique sign, namely, all the Spanish highway zero kilometers starting point. So it is said that Puerta del Sol square is not only the center of Madrid, but also of Spain.
On one side of the square, there is a bronze sculpture of bear eating grapes. The bear in the sculpture looks slightly awkward, struggling with grapes to eat. It is the sign of the city of Madrid.
